The Graduate in Training (GIT) Programme at Pele Energy Group is a 24‑month development journey designed for recent graduates who are passionate about building a career in South Africa’s renewable energy sector. This immersive programme offers a structured, fast‑paced learning environment within the Investment and Funding Group, providing hands‑on exposure to real projects while developing both technical and soft skills. Graduates will actively contribute to Pele’s strategic goals through mentorship, coaching, and collaboration with seasoned professionals. Responsibilities

• Participate in a comprehensive learning and development programme aligned with the company’s long‑term vision and operational goals
• Engage in high‑impact projects with cross‑departmental exposure to build competencies in leadership, operations, and project management
• Receive mentorship and coaching from senior leaders to accelerate personal and professional growth
• Collaborate with department heads to assist in executing strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives
• Contribute to strategic plans by analysing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and suggesting operational improvements
• Apply analytical skills to assess KPIs and provide actionable insights to improve outcomes
• Rotate through key functions such as Investment and Funding, Energy Operations, Project Development, Business Development, and Asset Management
• Contribute to strategic decision‑making by identifying interdependencies and opportunities for synergy across teams
• Engage in cross‑functional projects requiring collaboration with diverse colleagues
• Identify and propose innovative solutions for optimizing workflows and improving efficiency
• Assist in implementing business process improvements to drive cost reduction and resource optimization
• Collaborate with senior managers to support deployment of new technologies and systems
• Take ownership of assigned projects ensuring high‑quality execution within deadlines and budgets
• Develop leadership skills by managing smaller initiatives and collaborating with cross‑functional teams

Qualifications

• Completed or final‑year Bachelor of Commerce in Investment Management, Finance specialising in Investment, Management Sciences specialising in Investment Management, Accounting, or Economics
• Completed or final‑year Bachelor of Science specialising in Finance, Investment and Banking
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Motivated self‑starter with a willingness to learn
• Adaptable to new challenges and environments
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities
• Relevant internships or project experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of industry‑specific tools or software preferred
• Fluency in additional languages is advantageous
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
